I ask every student/collaborator who publishes a manuscript under my supervision (often their first ever paper), to describe it in 1 minute – a version of academic elevator pitch. This is not easy, but it is a way to celebrate their major achievement and demonstrate mastery of a topic. Needless to say, I am still waiting for quite a few videos…
